The Russian Revolution in 1917 didn’t just change Russia, but all of the world history. Nor was Denmark left unchanged. In Denmark, the revolution resulted in the labour movement splitting into reformists and revolutionaries, and almost turned Denmark into a republic.
The creation of RUC in 1972 was first a response to the requirements of the highly developed industries which needed a new kind of human capital. But at the same time there was created a new opportunity for the students who fought for a more democratic, socially engaged and critical university.
