TISS

How wonder, it's treated different, Unlike other leftist academe of India. Nevertheless it stands tall, towards Values, public service reshaping one. To be fearless, cheerful, a nationalist!

Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) is a public university of India funded by government of India. It stands for its duty towards society. Its nature is such that in the last 80 years and more, it has reshaped the poor, downtrodden, excluded, physically handicapped and made everyone useful resource to work more closely for the Nation. This campus is a small, tiny island of unity and duty. This poem is thus written to honor TISS.

Its name is enough,
Its work is enough,
It’s a wonder – place.
A place combines,
Nature, beauty & a duty,
Serving towards Nation.
TISS is a place towards world.
It’s a place of equality,
Bringing downtrodden and exclusion.
To be one….
Like making a handicapped,
A resource, a true Human capital!!
How wonder, it’s treated different,
Unlike other leftist academe of India.
Nevertheless it stands tall, towards
Values, public service reshaping one.
To be fearless, cheerful, a nationalist!
It’s campus short and simple,
Yet bring opportunities for all ample.
A mixture of varieties from India, be it
Southern, Western, Eastern & Northern.
What’s North, what’s South,
All bring critical thinking,
As criticism brings difference.
TISS a place, a difference!!
It’s name is enough.
It’s work is enough.
